Equation: Solutions and Solving

  1. For an equation, you should be able to write the definition of solution, solution set, solving, graph, equivalent equations, and simplest equation.
  2. For an inequality, you should be able to write the definition of solution, solution set, solving, graph, equivalent inequalities, and simplest inequality.
  3. You should be able to use the definition of solution to determine whether an object is or is not a solution of an equation.
  4. You should be able to use the definition of solution to determine whether an object is or is not a solution of an inequality.
  5. You should be able to use the definition of graph to determine whether an object is or is not part of the graph of an equation.
  6. You should be able to use the definition of graph to determine whether an object is or is not part of the graph of an inequality.
